THE CITY AS LINES, URBAN GROUND 05

The city as lines
The generation of the nineteenth century city was unconsciously accepted by modernity as the almost fragmentary succession of the city. First as a geometrical sum of neighborhoods, and these added up as blocks, and these as a sum of houses and these as a sum of rooms.
In the face of the accumulative conception of this repetitive law a new mode of inhabitation arises, one that only uses this old city as a tenant in its structure.
